
James C. Wiggins Jr. is a 1995 graduate of Virginia Union University, a 1993 initiate of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated and a lifetime member of both organizations.
His professional culinary career began in 2004 as owner of a catering company, serving as head baker in Richmond, VA. Often called a “culinary scientist”, James’ innovative solutions stem from his degrees in biology and chemistry which lend themselves to his chemist-like approach to flavor development and food production.
Chef Jay Wigs as he is known in the social media world is the director of Culinary Arts at Theodore Roosevelt High School in Washington D.C. and an adjunct professor of culinary arts at Prince George’s Community College in Largo, Maryland.
When he’s not working, James is traveling, researching other cultures, biking, playing tennis, and developing cooking game shows.
